super brain yoga

One of our district SLP's sent out an email today about super brain yoga....have you heard of this? I have never heard of this! Here is a link to a site that explains it really clearly:

Basically, you grab your right ear with your left hand and left ear with your right hand and squat down taking a full breath in and exhale while standing up. You then repeat this sequence 15 times. In theory, it resets the mind and increases cognitive functioning. I tried it today and I have to say I did feel rather reset after completing. These youtube videos have more info on the process and benefits:

I'll try anything yogi related to increase my kid's performance in school. 3 minutes of yoga for 27 minutes of more focused speech sessions sounds like a good trade off to me!
