I have a new TPT product: Lacey Walker, Nonstop Talker Speech and Language Companion. This book is really cute and would be great to address a specific behavior (excessive talking) or to set the tone at the beginning of the year for a classroom of talkers and listeners.
Lacey Walker is a non-stop talker. Her friends and family get irritated with her talking all the time. One day, she wakes up with no voice and learns a great lesson along the way. My companion has visuals for describing Lacey using EET format and comparing Lacey and her friend Nadine. It also includes visual sequencing and comprehension questions with visual choices. I added in some prepositions using Lacey and her friends and 3 writing prompts to round it out.
I tend to be a talker so can take a note from this book and learn to listen! I also love the THINK acronym for talking (and social media). Before saying anything:
- T is it true
- H is it helpful
- I is it inspiring
- N is it necessary
- K is it kind
Such a good reminder. Hope you find the TPT companion helpful! I'm still new to TPT and would love some feedback :)
