Rummikub

This has been the Christmas of Rummikub (pronounced rummy cube). My family has played game after game and had so much fun!  

The object of the game is to get rid of all your number tiles by creating runs of sequential numbers of the same color or sets of the the same number in different colors. You can play off of other players sets and runs to lay down the most tiles. 

It was an easy game to learn and made me think of patients at the hospital working on cognitive goals. Memory, sustained and divided attention, and basic problem solving are all addressed playing this game. 

I think it'd be a great addition to a rehab hospital or skilled nursing facility therapy supply closet for cognitive therapy groups!
